“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” Michael Jordan
I was wondering how to explain why I started this blog without coming across as negative and/or frustrated when I stumbled across a podcast by Vishen Lakhiani of Mindvalley Academy.
Which you can see here:
How to Defy Convention & Become Truly Limitless
One of the main points of the podcast is that there 4 levels of Consciousness.
- Level I-Ninety-five percent of all people live at this first level. These people live in victim stage and take no accountability for change or events that occur. Everything happens TO them and they do not believe they can change their lives or their destiny. (They aren’t likely to be reading my blog, or any self improvement blogs for that matter)
- Level II- Those who start to question life and their beliefs and begin to take charge of their thoughts.
- Level III-This level of consciousness happens when you stop setting external goals for yourself and begin to live using your intuition to guide you where you need to go.
- Level IV-These are highly attuned individuals that seek a higher good. These people include Gandhi and the Dalai Lama.
I’m not a victim, but I’m certainly not the Dalai Lama. Although I WANT to be in level THREE I’m really not there yet. I’m striving to get there. I’m questioning things. I’m learning, I’m recognizing and changing my belief patterns.
I started this blog to try and change my life and my circumstances. I’m moving in that direction and I want others to go there with me and believe that it is in fact possible to change.
I try to follow my intuition, but I do not always succeed. I want this blog to serve those who are at the same point in their lives. Those who seek change and want peace but struggle sometimes.
I want to find others who seek empowerment and abundance and who want to be able to manifest their dreams but do not always believe in the five minute miracles that are purported to exist on the internet. Life is a struggle and we are all doing the best we can.
I want this blog to be a place positivity, honesty and support. I want it to be a place where people can go when they don’t really know where else to go or don’t have anyone to turn to for help. Sometimes just being around like minded people makes you feel better and allows you to stop being so hard on yourself.
I am a work in progress.
You are not alone. You are never alone.
